Author Quiz interviews Benjamin W.Farley...

What is it you love most about writing?
Creating believable characters.

Where did the inspiration  for your novel, Three Thousand Days and Nights, come from?
Three Thousand Days and Nights was inspired by reading histories of the French and Indian War.

If your book, Three Thousand Days and Nights, was made into a movie who would you want to play the main character and why?
I'd want Matt Damon to play the role of Langdon Burke (in 3-K aka for title), since he possesses the quiet strength of that character.

If you could invite one character from your novel to a dinner party who would it be and why?
General Montcalm, because of his sense of time and place and realization of what was at stake for France.

When deciding on a book title what influences you most; potential sales or artistic integrity?
Artistic integrity.

Do you foresee more and more authors making a living from their writing?
Fewer, sadly.

What strategy do you use for getting reviews?
I encourage purchasers to submit reviews to Amazon.

Would you rather sell 1000 books at $10/£10 each or 2000 books at $1/£1, i.e. what gives you the greater sense of satisfaction; overall earnings or overall sales?
Overall sales.

Which book more than any other have you read and thought, 'I wish I'd written this book'?
Goethe's The Sorrows of the Young Werther.

Countrywide Paintball dealWhat would you say is your biggest strength as a writer?
Plot first, then characters, scenery, dialogue.
